Q. When and where is the Pines Family Reunion being held?
The reunion will take place from July 17–19, 2025, in Atlanta (Dunwoody), Georgia. Specific event
locations and times are provided in your registration packet.


Q. Who can attend the reunion?
The reunion is open to all family members. We encourage everyone to join us to celebrate!


Q. When and where will we receive our Welcome Bags?
The Welcome Bags will be given out at the HOST Hotel on Thurs 4:30 - 6:30 or Friday between 9-11am;
afterwards you can get your bag at the Picnic


Q. Why the change to the reunion format | Picnic and Sit-Down Formal Banquet?
We wanted to do something more inclusive to engage with each generation of family members. The
new format allows for family gatherings, while also promoting group activities with family members with
like interest


Q. Is registration mandatory for all attendees?
Yes, each individual (2+ YRS OLD) planning to attend must complete a registration form. Registration is
required to ensure accurate planning for activities, meals, and other arrangements.


Q. What’s the registration deadline?
The registration deadline is [MAY 31, 2025]. Please register by this date to secure your spot at the
reunion.


Q. How do I register?
You can complete your registration online. PLEASE NOTE: that your registration is not complete until
payment has been processed.


Q. Why don't we have more time to pay the registration?
Funds have to be collected to place t-shirt orders 30 days in advance, and to secure reservations at the
proposed activities (ie. Park, Game Show, etc.) Activities book up fast!

Q. What activities are planned for the reunion?

In addition to the picnic, we’ll have family history trivia, fun games, and optional self-funded group activities - see the Group Activities page. Each self-funded group activity requires a minimum of 5participants and will have a virtual information session closer to the reunion. We will also have a Bounce House w/Dual Slide Combo House for the younger kids at the picnic to keep them entertained.


Q. When and where is the picnic?
The picnic will be held on Friday, July 18th, from 5:00–8:00 PM at [Brook Run Park], just 3 miles from the
host hotel.


Q. Do I need to bring anything to the picnic?
Each registered guest will receive a food ticket to redeem a complimentary meal. Additional meals will
be available for purchase after all guests have been served.  HOWEVER, there are grills there, so if anyone wants to bring food to cook - you are more than welcome to do so!


Q. What can I expect at the picnic?

There will be catered food serviced by Bellies and Beards Inc Food Truck, music, table games, card
games, family history trivia, and a SOUL line dancing session to the trending song, "Boots on the
Ground."

 

Q.  What's the purpose/reasoning for do "Boots on the Ground" Line Dancing at the Picnic?

In lieu of the "talent show" that we use to do at the Reunion Banquet, we are incorporating a fun way for everyone to participate regardless of talent :) !  The performance serves as a celebration of the legacy of soul line dancing, a dance style with a rich history within African Americans.  This is a very trending activitiy that families, friends, and organizations across the world are taking part in.  I hear that they wore this out at the Mobile 2025 Mardi Gras; so the Alabama crew may have a heads up on how it's done.

Q.  What type food is being served at the picnic?

The menu Options:
4 protein options (Fried Fish, Pork Rib Tips, Pulled Chicken, 6 pc. Wings)
3 side options (potato salad, french fries, baked beans)
Slices of White bread
Each meal ticket will get you  1 meat, and 2 sides from the food truck options listed above 
Non-Alcoholic beverages will be complimentary

Q.  Does the Park allow alcoholic beverages?

Yes, the Park does allow | HOWEVER please be reminded this is a FAMILY event, refrain from being Turnt Up due to intoxication or a controlled substance - Ya'll know what we mean [SMDH].  MODERATION IS KEY !!!

Q.  Can I take a to-go plate from the picnic?

Once ALL reunion members have been served, and IF we still have food tickets available, YES, you may take a to-go plate.  Aslso, additional meals will be available for purchase for to-go orders, when we run out of purchased tickets.

Q. How can I sign up for self-funded group activities?
You can select from the suggested activities on the sign-up sheet. Prices vary, so please review cost
details carefully.


Q. What activities are included in the reunion registration fee?
The Picnic on Friday evening and the Luncheon on Saturday afternoon. This leaves ample time to city site-see on your own or participate in a group activity or two.


Q. HOW DOES THE REGISTRATION WORK?
The Registration is Multi-step process, and you need to do all of them.

  • Review the T-shirt page

  •  Next look at the “self-funded” group activities

  •  The pre-ordered Atlanta Braves tickets are available first-come-first basis. We only have 20 tickets for this group activity, so sign up AND PAY for the ticket at check-out

  • On the Reunion Events page PLEASE Complete the Family Registration Form by RSVP'ing to the first event (you can NOW register your entire family using 1 form) 

  •  Once you have registered, click on the Registration Check-out Page and add items to your cart

  • A purchase of one of the registration Package (for each individual) is REQUIRED to participate in the Reunion 

 

Q. How can I contribute to the reunion?
Donations are Welcomed and HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Please reach out to your Host to get details on how to provide a tax free monetary gift. You can also volunteer your services via the registration form.


Q. What types of T-shirts are available?
The Reunion T-shirt is a WHITE shirt with the 2025 Logo. In addition, we will have a Double-Sided Print T-
shirt option. You can order as many T-shirts as you would like. The OPTIONAL double-sided print T-Shirt
will have the infamous “Nutrition Labels” on the back. The double-sided print shirts have a $10
surcharge and come in a variety of colors and labels to choose from.
PLEASE ENSURE WHEN PLACING YOUR OPTIONAL T-SHIRT ORDER, YOU MAKE THE CORRECT SELECTIONS ON THE NUTRITION LABELS, AS WE WILL NOT REFUND OR HAVE ADDITIONAL DOUBLE-SIDED PRINT T-SHIRTS ON HAND!!

Q. Can I pay with Zelle?

Yes, and it is the preferred payment method as it does not have any fees.  To pay with Zelle, please use the reunion bank phone number listed in the payment option.  You need to already be enrolled in Zelle online app with your bank.  

You will receive an invoice once you submit your order and you need to include that invoice# in the Zelle notes, so we can tie it back to your order/invoice.  See  examples below: 1.) order email, 2.)Zelle transaction memo 3.)final receipt
